Countable Visits Test

The UTC is preparing for the Countable Visits test that will likely occur in the spring of 2020. The timing will be confirmed with the UTC Steering Committee. This test seeks to define countable visits, using electronic standards to increase data reliability, and reduce interpretation and burden.

Countable Visits Test Process

  1. Understand the relative contribution, value and burden for each category of countable visits to inform decisions about keeping or removing elements
  2. Identify opportunities to reduce burden for UDS narrative by streaming and simplifying through replacing with e-specifications or removing elements
  3. Evaluate the burden reduction and data that can be achieved by using e-specifications to streamline and simplify countable visits data collection

The UTC is working with the Health FFRDC to finalize the testing process.

Please contact udsmodernization@mitre.org or the steering committee member from your region with any questions, or if you are interested in getting involved.
